The Luna Lounger uses GOTS certified, 100% organic cotton canvas. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. The Global Organic Textile Standard covers the entire production process based on the use of organic fibres from textile processing and manufacturing up to licensing and labelling. While this is a rigorous process in which all criteria must be met, the result is an internationally recognized organic certification demonstrating to stakeholders, partners, and consumers your commitment to providing sustainable, ethical, and high-quality products. In addition to using only GOTS fabrics, the Luna Lounger contains the gold standard for children’s furniture foam, certified by Certipur-US. Certipur-US is a rigorous process confirming that foam is made without ozone depleters, without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants, without mercury, lead, and other heavy metals, and without formaldehyde or phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Certipur-US foam is Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million), and is the gold standard for foam used in children’s products.
